Why Mobility Work Is Not Optional
Mobility is the training everyone skips — right up until something hurts. If you want to lift heavier, move better and stay in the game for decades, mobility work is not optional. It is the maintenance that keeps the engine running.
Mobility vs. Flexibility
Flexibility is how far a joint can move passively. Mobility is how well you can control that range under load. Strength without mobility is fragile; mobility without strength is unstable. You want both.
You do not rise to the level of your goals — you fall to the level of the ranges you can actually control.
Where Most People Are Tight
- Ankles — limiting squat depth and stride.
- Hips — the source of most lower-back complaints.
- Thoracic spine — the key to a pain-free overhead position.
- Shoulders — for pressing and pulling without impingement.
A Simple Daily Routine
- Five minutes of easy movement to warm up.
- Two or three targeted drills for your tightest areas.
- Load the new range gently so your body keeps it.
Ten minutes a day is enough to transform how you move. Our Yoga & Mobility classes make it effortless to stay consistent.
